That happens on a lot of machines. It is to do with cooling on them. Also happens in closed spaces in houses and kitchens and bathrooms. must have an extract fan with run on period. Makes sense but most people turn them off.
Understand what you mean but here its to do with venting fumes so you dont get a big bang theory and re arrange your internal organs to become external ones, in theory a good idea, in practice not good idea for safety reasons, I have already worked out a emergency bypass switch in case there are rocks or another boat has decided it hasnt seen us
