The Mk 6 is the best one I have had
I have the 125 PS TDCi FWD & compared with my last 3 which were 94 - 99 there is no competition Mk 6 every time.
Good options available ( HFS / Ew / Em / Abs / 2 x SL Doors / 6 Disc cd )
Performance is stunning
A bit lairy on bends but soon get used to it
Alot of money but worth it in my opinion
Might change in January for the 137 PS RWD 6 Spd
When I get a lift in my last 2.5 Di Cannot believe how slow & noisy they are . Was a good Van but Mk 6 is a long way in front

ok i might be wrong but i seem to remember a friends 99 100lwb custom having remote locking could be wrong anyway remote locking on the early mk6's was a pain in the arse as you had to stand right next to the drivers door to get it to work i think it seems to be better on the later vans

Are you sure? We had it on our '97 SWB TD Custom at the company I used to work at. I was sure it was a Ford remote, it certainly came with the van from new. Maybe the dealer fitted it?

It was a Specail edition Crusader / is still a good van
Sold it to a good friend of mine and he has been asked to sell on numerous occasions since ( But won t )

then you walk into the workshop and there is heads off engines out geaboxes out all on late vans,so whats going on with them!

saw a 55 plate 350 tipper the other day belching blue smoke out the back so bad that you could hardly see him doesnt look very good for a new van also i quite often see the bt vans round my area they also seem to have a big blue smoke problem is this a common sighting/problem with the new shapes our y reg350 120ps is fine but every now and again you get a puff of orange smoke apparantly this is the turbo

I used to occasionally stall my Mk 6 and a friend who owns a garage
told me to just blip the throttle a little as you release the clutch
stops the turbo 'stalling'.
As for reliability mines done 46,000 and not one problem
touch wood ,(touching head).
Beginning of November I did a 2200 mile trip and it never missed a beat.

Thats idle clip not a stalled turbocharger m8, If the engines revs drop below 700rpm the throttle pedal will not function, so the next thing to happen is a stall.

But he knows something you don't, I am fine with mechanics...
till they did away with points,
after that I am lost, it's like computers......... MAGIC,
and I can't get a handle on it all..so he kept it simple for me

That has never happened to me in mine (125psTDCi)
He must of changed down or not loaded no other explanation other than different engine than a 90
Is yours a high roof model ?
I know nothing about engines though but had a 90 a few weeks ago as a loan van and was no where near as lively as the 125 TDCi

yes mine is a hi top but so was the 90ps i even droped it down a gear but it was off no catching it
