Would I not be right in saying you can chose who does it? If so I'd take it to a local independant

Find a golf course local to you with a road running alongside it. Use your brains ? Scream and shout a bit and they,ll fix it F.O.C.
Been there and done it, three times in all. Does,nt even go through your insurance. Sorted....

 there's an idea, there is a golf course near here but if any of the players hit a car going on the road they are pretty poor players, and in any other case id get charged with driving on the course

tell em its heated the fitter who comes wont give a toss you could always bung him a tenner to keep him sweet.

they come in clear heated and green heated but the clear heated's are rare

they also do heated with moisture sensor but only 06 on i think

i had a phone number to call up for insurance, the guy asked if the screen has a tint, i said no, he then asked if it ever was heated. i jokingly said i think it was before but previous owner removed it and relays.

the guy then went on to ask if i wanted a heated one, so i said i wouldnt mind one :D

im working tomorrow so my old man is taking it in to garage so we will find out tomorrow.

i know someone who had a mk 5 with a cracked std screen. when he gotinsurance to do it he got a top tint fitted. then in his car he managed to get a standard one replaced with a tinted heated screen. what a result!

Why won't they do it then? Has the insurance not authorised it?

im not sure they didnt give me a straight answer, so van is booked into National Windscreens tomorrow, a day before the MOT :o

to be honest im annoyed but i dont think it was RACs fault, i think its my inusrance company taking the mick!

the guy from RAC couldnt have been more apologetic.

anyway, the saga continues....
