My mate bought a damaged tranny that had hit a stray kerbstone in the carriageway "at speed",
It went under o/s wheel then up through rear floor

Killed wheel & tyre obviously (and shocker),on closer inspection axle was back at that side.

Traced to leaf spring,it had "uncurled" at front eye round bush :o

slight up date on the story, I took the van to the local ford dealer for a quote and to replace both rear springs and check geometry including the dreaded the total is £721.25p. Had to chase my insurance company about the claim forms as I hadnt recieved them, i mentioned the repair quote and was told when they recieve the forms back they may have to send out the engineer to value the van to see if its worth repairing. If they do send someone to look at it Im gonna give it a nice clean and tidy up so it looks nice and expensive  so if they do write it off I will get a decent payout hopefully. Mind you whats a S reg 100 sht lwb transit with aircon and just over 150k worth these days ?
