Guys, you need to read the post on the first page. You need to give more info about the vans otherwise the info you are giving is worthless!

rough idle, its a good chance one of your injectors is dumping more fuel than it should :!: i'd defo try an other garage or diesel specialist.

still under warranty then

take it to fords with a record of its fuel consumption, tell them 16mpg simply is not acceptable

as already said, chances are its an injector, but a diagnostic may not show that up, it would need all 4 removed and sent for a test - your fords will not have the reqd equipment

ive had 37mpg out of my swb 2.0 tdci 125 glx tourneo

...HAVE TO GET THE CALCULATOR FOR THIS !!!!!!
WHEN, OH WHEN WILL THE UK REALIZE THAT THE METRIC SYSTEM - !!!!!

oh no, enough of that !!! ...

Right, only today I topped off after doing 505 Kilometers - that´s 313 miles - and it took 38,5 litres in - that´s

7,6 litres for 100 km !

OK, GETTING THE CONVERSION FACTORS AS WELL !!!! :

I think that´s 8.5 gallons (imp. gallons? I read the above discussion afterwards, but did not get what is right - took the 4,5 litres to convert... ) for 313 miles -

that is thirtysixpointeight miles per gallon ??? :?:

This was my everyday-24-mile-a-trip-commute and other stuff mainly on the "Autobahn", (...being a major obstacle doing about 55 to 60 mph...) or b-roads ("Landstrasse")... .
Had more with motorbike loaded and more speed - but had less as well !!!!!!
After topping off I did the "PowerUp/EGR-mod" following MarkM (One turn - WHAT A SUCCESS !) - so what mpg will it be in the future :| ?

For Tranny details - see below !

...think so, too !

(If my conversing is right, though).

I´m happy with the verified "7 - 8 litre per 100 km".
Few people over here - even car-nuts - believe me at first when I tell them...

UPDATE on Dec. 28th :

I did 420 km/260 miles since "power-up".
Usual driving habits, but took the Tranny to full speed just to see what happened there (It DOES go to full speed more easily, by the way !) about four times.

It took 27,39 l or 6,08 imp gal which results to 6,6 l/100 km or
42,7 mpg - right ?????

I double-checked all possible faults - can think of none !!

Considering that only now I found that I can change gear SO much earlier, but drove it like I used to on those 260 ms... - maybe there is even more mpg to be won ?

2005 2.4 115 T350 MWB High Roof, 118k on clock.

Did 167 miles today with foot flat down most of the way (70/80) but with only a light load, left with a full tank and cost me £40 when i got back.

167 miles 9.99 pence per litre i make that 18.98mpg :(
