i'm looking on 3 web sites for mk1's, mobile.de, autoscout24 and ebay, but they only seem to have ones that people have bought and been using, is there a site to buy direct from the fire service or an auction where they are sold off from.

Forgot to say, power output is 55 hp, but there's also a 1.7 litre available, which is exactly the same outside with 75 hp, but never factory available in the FK 1000, only in the Taunus 17m TS (Touring Sport)!

Only a small amount of fire stations still use them, if you want to buy one, you have to get in contact with them directly, but don't expect minters of these!

as you can see from the vans i'm looking at, i'm not keen on the side windows in the doors.

There are some around without side windows, from time to time there are some for sale on autoscout or mobile.de!

only found 3 without windows at the moment but i expect these mk1's are coming up for sale all the time.

Yes! :) They're not as common as the ones with windows in side loading doors, but they come up! :D

:? the orange 2ltr v4 should come cheap as this has been in the trader for over 2 yrs :shock: :shock: this was for sale when i was looking at mine! :wink: maybe 1000uro will buy this van! but it would need a service before setting home 2yrs is along time to be standing! :?

Sadly, no Mark! :( The dealer said: 1500 euros is the last price, otherwise I'll keep it! Budgie was interested in it, too, that's why I called him!

:shock: i cant belive it has been over 2yrs standing maybe more, :shock: i would be very nervous of driveing her home without a good service :? its a good price for a low km 2ltr v4

Yeah, the dealer he said to me: "Trailer it away, the brakes need replacement!" Also the front wings have minor rust, but I think they can be saved!

:? i think that it needs to be cheaper then! :wink: maybe best to leave this one and find a ex feuerwehr at least most are very good condtion! and with the trusty cologne engine thats the way to go!
essex are very strange engine you get a good one or a bad one!
i was going to buy a 7000km 76 fire van ,the people that were selling it drove it back form the fire department and the crankshaft went! :shock: :shock: wow and only 7000km so in the end it was sold for spares as they couldnt get the crackshaft fixed!
you germans have a lovely word for crankshaft is it werdeeegersell or something like that! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
