how long does it take someone with IDS to programme in a new key? Could this be what they are doing? Using a pick to turn the barrel with a "donor" key to start?

Or can the immob be turned off with IDS for fleet / non UK market?

Seen a 'dashboard medic' unlock and fire up a new then bm a few years ago using a laptop and aerial thing so can't see why they won't have got round a tranny by now

Much tidier then how they tried stealing my old mk5 recovery truck lol stupid muppets couldn't find a cutoff switch in positive from battery

finished forensics on it, not holding much hope they'll get anyone...

went to see what was in the back, they left me a few basics, and some screws.

no sign of any damage at all. they removed cover under the steering column, but all wiring intact. some kind of terminal or laptop port under there, and found out they had trouble recovering it as the steering lock is on! this means they either just lifted the van, or drove it by releasing the steering lock, which I assume can only be done with a key.....

this is becoming more of a mystery. how the hell have they done it??? Is there a ford master key? or have they managed to aquire a duplicate of my key?

think I'll get some deadlocks and a steering lock.

Probably just picked/bumped/raked it all.

Hide/move/remove your OBD connection guys ! I'm going to chat up a lighting & rigging guy I know to see if I can blag a dmx connector and fit that in place of the oe OBD connector then make up a adapter from dmx to OBD for when connection is required plus you can put the pins in your own location within the dmx

6 screws 4 around the edge 1 in door handle and one in upper grab hole then just yank the door card

Is the simple answer to disable the door lock? Tibbe keys are so easy and cheap to find, this is how they are getting in..

I used to fit a siren/alarm in the cab where it couldnt be got at using armoured cable which also couldnt be got at and a hidden on/off switch. This also disabled starter motor.
As soon as a feed was put to anything ie ignition on without turning switch off the siren went off.
It was so loud it disabled the person trying to nick it
I had quite a few people say I bet I can do it.............. none did Even I couldnt function when the alarm went off it completely f*cked you up to the point you couldnt move properly and it overcame all senses.
I believe the siren was off an acid tank at a factory......... still got one left which is going in my van soon

one quick search on the web. a minute or so. ford key learn and copy via obd. no keys, no codes, just learn and start with a plain key, in less than 30 seconds..

i posted a link to a site where you can get keys to learn and open any ford lock on one of the other threads, but it got deleted. numbnuts. if scumbags want to know this stuff they won't need my help. so shoot me.

you can buy one of those keys, and this obd key reader for about the same price of a set of alloys....small money for a pro car theif...

judder and Belly have the right idea, hide, change the socket and repin your obd and make an adapter cable, and disable your door lock...

Only 8 wires? Cool. I will be cotting mine out and blackwireing it elsewhere under the dash into another type of connector and then make up a loose lead (which i will keep in the house ) with the counterpart connector to an obd socket. Unfortunately all you can do is slow then down to the point where they give up and try someone elses van. I reckon with the tibbe key and that tool you could be in and away in under three minutes...
