Hi chaps. For those of you that do,nt already know.
If you want cruise control on yer ex rac van and have had a axle or diff change to a lower ratio the bcm needs to be notified via ids as it may not work correctly. Vantuner can do this.
If you do not change your diff ratio then no problem, speedo and cruise will function normally .
If you decide to fit a six speed gearbox your vans on board computers would need a learn in order for your cruise to work as it should.
I know of one or two people who have had there cruise control enabled by a mate ( after a axle change) that has ids only to find that, although the cc light comes up the actual cruise does not function correctly or if not at all.
Although many people with ids can enable cruise I would be surprised if they could change the ratio. Martyn at Vantuner can, and maybe one or two others on here. I cannot , it,s all witchcraft to me

Mate haven't a clue. What ever you fit they must be load rated tyres and wheels or Vosa will have a field day. Not only that it can cause problems with your insurance and van safety.
On mine l have 16" alloys with 215 75 16, c . Normal size but van rated. Not very cool but look great and they are safe. Don't mean to sound like a boring old fart, just trying to be help :D :D

I have a small problem that one of you may be able to help with ....
When I went to view my van I saw the service history paperwork for the van but knowing the rac do extensive servicing on their vans I never paid much attention to it, when I went back to buy the van I forgot the service history so the seller said he would post it onto me which he tells me he has done that but 2 weeks later I still don't have it :( how do you go about getting copies of service history ??
