Luke your a wizzLuke wrote:this is how i work out MPG
1) fill van tank full
2) reset trip meter
3) drive around untill van needs filling again
4) fill van and get recipt
5) on the recipt will be the litres you have put in multiply the litres by 0.22 this will give you the gallons, then write that number down, look at the trip meter and write that down.
6) divide the miles travelled by the gallons eg 400miles/12gallons=33.3mpg
this is the forumla
miles traveled = mpg
litres x 0.22
obviously its only as accurate as your speedo is but gives as acurate reading as you can get.

thats ok but you still have to guess the miles you have done ont the fule you have put in - you may have gone on to the fuel that was in the tank if you get what i mean!!!Ron wrote:Luke wrote:this is how i work out MPG
