top speed of your transit ?

Well this van I had mk6 LWB High Top 75ps believe it or not on a flat road it would reach 93MPH on the satnav.

After being remapped by the remapping GURU Martin, same bit of road M25 satnav read at 97mph


o yer ps only around 500kg in the van most times

1985 mk2 spec lift with 1993 70 ps Di and mt75, 4.63 diff 82 mph on the sat nav, nearly a ton on the speedo (yeah right!) and more shakes rattles and hums than U2 ever could manage

I assume u were going that fast in the mk6 to get to a petrol garage

both before I fitted the sunvisors (max speed supposed to be 80mph, sometimes I go more but don't want to risk it too much).

Mk6 before sunvisor = 83mph (100ps T260)
Mk7 before sunvisor = 101mph (110ps T260)
and both after sunvisor = about 82mph

na mate still very fast(remapped upto 231ps) maybe does not help the mpg much though mine hits the limiter no problem at all .think like scotty says think your not ment to go over certain speeds with them . oops

If you had your van remapped how comes you didn't get the limiter removed?

I have test driven a mates 200ps Transit that thing bloody fly's!! £10.00 diesel gone within 20 miles

i was a bad boy and got the bluefin superchip

i no last tank of fuel i got 16.5mpg but it is heavy and got roof rack beacons pipe carriers oh and SUNVISOR

Mate its a bit hard having all that power and not thrashing it, besides I have a lil poxy 75ps LWB H/T (remapped) So when i drove this 200ps I was well shocked. But I must say i personally thought the main boost of power kicks in on 3rd? 1st and 2nd is fast but not as fast as you would like but 3rd boy it goes. must be something to do with the turbo i guess? The standard 200ps will leave things like a mk4/5 Golf gti standing i would have thought!

Also how comes you only got an exra 30ps after the bluefin? There is another guy on here with a 200 ps who I think has had it remapped to 250ps That would seem about right so how comes you dont get as much from a bluefin?

yes mate i no the guy your on about grantves .i emailed asking him the same thing about the power and he said he ony put it up to that power cos its own van and if he was remapping it for anyon else he would put it up to 230-240bhp.only reason i went for the bluefin is that if anything goes wrong under warranty the cover it under their 'warranrt'. as for 1st and 2nd gear a place i do work as just bought one too and they said the same thing but once its remapped you should feel it in second gear

my mk5 banana will do 70 on 4 cylinders and about 50 on 3 cylinders

My banana will do 80 on the flat and 85 down a slight incline, although that might change when i turbo it

1978 CI motorhome (bed over cab type) with early DI fitted would do an indicated 73mph on the satnav (84 on speedo)
same bus with york 2.4 (after DI drank its oil coming back from margate one night)will pull indicated 62mph on the flat although have had a 68 out of it the once..

think the back axle ratio is the killer as even at 70 mph the bloody thing dont sound like its much over tickover lol.. how can I tell what one its got in? oh 4 spd OD gearbox too
