103 on the limiter down hill and up any hill aswell

my mk7 130storms to the limiter aprox 105mph? Up or downhill it doesnt matter.

Hasnt this been done?

lol you lot my figures are off my sat nav [my speedos buggered ]only goes up to 140kph anyway] ..im looking at a 98 lwb with a V6 3.8 /4speed auto holden conversion [pretty common conversion as the ford lumps dont usually last much past 300000 kms down here ]so ill let you know how fast that is .....roughly 205bhp that should get her along a bit

oh yeah and my 89 mk3 2.0 petrol 4 speed does 92mph/153kph

yes great topic i think my mk5 does 90 in right conditions.once i got 95down hill but mostly 85 on the speedo .76bhp seems to have lower top speed mine is 70bhp 100lwb.must be doing 4000rpm or more defness is fast approaching.

My 76ps banana does 80 flat out on flat road and about 85-87 down a slight incline and that is screaming it's bollocks off at just over 4000 rpm, i seriously need a Cosworth :twisted:

Early mk3 speedo only goes up to 85mph, i remember this from an old mk3 council van i used to have

not a tranny but ford tdi powered , frankensprinter does 93 on the flat so far :mrgreen:

and that was with 790 kg of scrap in the back
