Speaking as a dustmans son once upon a time, A couple of crates of stumpies @french hypermarket at christmas will give you a years worth of dumping - and as a rule of thumb all his best tips used to come from estates with bugger all from the big houses. My top tip is pull in at closing time - you would be suprised how many overloaded builders vans containing nothing but "brown envlopes of beer money" surface....... Or you could use your car - I was turned anyway with hardcore because my van had "Generator Hire" on the side, so I put the 15 3/4 full cement bags in the back of my FIAT and went back - didn't say a dicke bird

In Manchester now we are big into recycling and although once I was refused when the women in suites were outside they will now even let you use their own barrow to get your load inside......as long as it is for recycling and you are obviously not dumping your business waste. I have an unlettered white high top van and have absolutley no chance of getting under the barrier.

i went to the tip years ago in my capri with a heavily loaded trailer full of earth and hardcore. twat says 'you cant tip that here', why? i ask, 'cos your a landscape gardener'. oh yes, silly me, i forget the prefered vehicle for landscape gardeners is a heavily modified capri   used to have no end of hassle with our local tip but a good rant at the council seemed to sort it. when i asked the guy what his name was to report to the chap at the local council he wouldnt tell me, i then pointed out there cant be too many dickheads like him working on a sunday! that and his name was up on the duty manager board anyway. after restricting vans to tuesdays and thursday the fly tipping went throught the roof, relaxed the rules again and it has now dropped, funny that eh?

get the girly to call before hand. tell her to put on her best seductive voice. when the dickheads agree to let her in, take the settee to the dump. they cant say no cos they have already agreed to let you (sorry, her) in. works a treat.

rubbish talk

Postby MR MOVE IT » Wed May 17, 2006 2:30 pm

Talking of tips and rubbish, I could use some advice from anyone involved in junk removals, house clearance, man with van type of businesses, I have applied for my waste carriers licence and spoken to a few local recycling sites. I have taken inspiration from the American company Any Junk? but cant seem to find much info on the internet so any advice on pricing, advertising, etc would be greatly appreciated. :D :D :D

i do house clearances and rubbish removals a lot i looked into a waste licence but it was too expensive so i have found a good loop hole if you do the job then offer back £10 to the customer (already built in on yer price) techinically it's your waste which you are transporting so it's all above board i phoned the environment agency who confirmed that this is legal and above board 8) 8) 8) 8)
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Not thatI condon fly tipping, but should I ever have the misfortune to go to council dumping ground and I get refused to unload with my "obviously" custom, I would turn it around, back up to their height restricted entrance and drop the whole bloody lot. As it will be on the driveway to the compound it would be on council property, so it will be council employees responsibility to remove it.
The van in front is.................MINE! As Seen On TV

I know that the tips near me aren't council run, they are all run by private companies that have to pay to by the ton to dump the rubbish.
