spot on geoff,you may be interested to know,that when i bought your van,years ago,i picked it up on a mates iveco spec lift,on the way home,the bonnett blue up the back wheel came of,and i kid you not the chassis snapped in half,i ended up leaving the piece of junk at the side of the road and driving the tranny home with no mot,or tax and running on three cylinders,and it made it.spot on what you say they are crap.and the iveco nevar ran again got chopped up.

you obviously didnt have your glasses on when you look at a mk6 there rotten already i know of one that had to have the floor welded by the drivers seat there worse for rust than a bare metal mk5
