my first 24v had a type 9 and it lasted well, it was the axle that couldn't take the power, did 4 diffs in about 2 months, i think the type 9 lasted because with the axle so low geared it didn't put to much strain on the box.

isn't the a4ld box what the granada cosworth runs anyway, think maifolds will be fine with that, its just the transit MT75 that seems to have a big bellhousing for some reason.

My cossie has the T5 box and standard back axle and the axle has lasted well with what is ment to be 360bhp.

does you t5 stick come up in the right place or is it behind the seat

Well it is an MT75 transit box with T5 internals built by sue collins performance, but you are correct the T5 box would have the stick behind the driver.

it would unless you use a box from america, the cj7 jeep uses a T5 that has the stick coming out the top like a transit, i'm sure it could be made 2wd for the transit.

Thats what I thought It will make things easier when the time comes From the back of the down pipes I dont have a problem making a system, I just hope I can find all the related threads when I eventually get round to doing it

when i put the v8 in my van i'm thinking of going Auto as its only going to be a tow van. and the engine i want to use comes with a nice auto box factory fitted 99% of the time.

i was offered a 24v engine and (early) loom today for £150, but really i want a full car so i can hear it running, i was tempted but then he told me it had done 80,000 miles so i didnt bother

but if anyones interested i'll PM you his number

thats a good price, and you'll be hard pushed to get one with less miles, unless you know the guy and that ment it had probably done 280k

Whoo! i likes that That aint a bad price at the moment either! I used to see alot of cossy engines that were just bags of bolts for sale and they were fetching £1000 and over. He's a bit dodgy on the feedback ratings tho 75%......thats the worst ive ever seen

What flywheel do i need for the V6

i'm going to see whats on my v6 in a couple of weeks to see if its the same as a diesel, my mate used a 2.8 capri one with a spacer but its not the best idea.
