2006 85T260 SWB XH heavily loaded over 2400miles between Kusadasi and Alfreton. Managed 33mpg including a very high speed thrash across Greece and another thrash through Northern France.

Ive just bought a mk7 twin wheel 100ps luton van.

and i think i averaged something like 18mpg on the way home. Traveling at 50mph. It did about 280miles to £100

Then on my second fill it average 26.7mpg . Can anybody fill the gaps and tell me what the hell happend here ??

And i think mine is losing boost aswell.. as i can hear a loud hissing noise and a loss of power above 3k rpm

What should a remap & obviously solving my air leak do to my fuel economy? does anyone think 30mpg is possible? :)

Fixing any problems will help, full service, then see what you get, then get it mapped

So, now my fuel economy has stabalised. The loss of boost was infact a not what i thought. but my Cat about to snap in half.

so it snapped in half. and spent £600 getting it replaced. wonderfull!!

My fuel economy has stabilised at about 22-23mpg . Is this about right for a luton mk7 transit?

and would a remap take me upto about 25mpg ??

any ideas on this would be appreciated.

Always about 30mpg. MK5 lwb semi high 2.5DI.. Loaded with lots of tools . short runs mainly .A few runs with a pack of bricks in the back. 3k miles a year.Always been the same over last 13 years
Actually same as my Mk 4 tranny- petrol (was it 1.6 or 2.0 ? I cant remember- -I had it for 10 years ).
So- 2 trannys for last 23 years and always 30mpg.
