What's the worst thing about driving a van...

I wish my van had memory settings for seat and mirror positions, as i have the seat right back with a little recline, when the Mrs gets in its seat right forward no recline adjusts all the mirrors, then when she gets out it stays that way till i get in VERY ANNOYING

..........could this be the transit version of not putting the toilet seat up/down?

Hmm, interesting.
When I got my van I was a bit annoyed that it didn't have electric mirrors but now I have to say I never have a problem. In fact I'm kind of glad they're not electric as I'd probably only have to fix them at somepoint.

Yes mate and it does make life easy adjusting the passenger mirror

BUT i am dreading one of them stopping working as i have never seen one for sale on ebay and i bet Fords would charge a fortune

your right there i got a price for a new mirror just the glass for the heated mirrors as one of the ones i have got to put on my van has a slight crack in it over £30 it can stay cracked for the time being

Mine are heated too, as nice as they are to have, it is a worry to replace if they break

Are you sure they are actually heated? I thought they were not wired in if you had a rear window heater.

Never new that Frank , but they de-mist very quickly when i press the button , so i guess they work and i have a heated rear window

If they are like my Astra ones they would steam on a cold day so you knew they were working!

Bought a new one last year about £130

1 more i have just come across (literally) the asshole of a next door neighbour has parked 1 inch off my rear bumper so upon attempting to open my rear door she has ended up with a big dent in the back of her clio some people have no common sense

I have a dream of buying a brand new Transit exactly to my spec with all the gizmos like elec heated mirrors etc which I think is useful and important plus all the toys and options, 4x4, crew seats, etc, etc ... ah dream on...

Agree with you there..Was going along nicely on my way to the office one day then came across one of these drivers..Who'd go 30 then slow right down..We eventually got to a bend(only a little one mind you) and back down to 20..then all of a sudden the car stop in the middle of the road,this woman got out..It was only an unmarked cop car She said what was my game driving so close,before i said anything this other copper got out and just stood there as if to say yeah im big and tuff sort of thing I just said well if you drove at the same speed instead of slowing down every 2 minutes we wouldnt be holding all the traffic up behind us would we

Now that does annoy me..coppers are the worse offenders sometimes..and if theres any coppers on here..Well sorry but some of you are c**p drivers.. I should know i have family who work in the force
