thats a good price, and you'll be hard pushed to get one with less miles, unless you know the guy and that ment it had probably done 280k

i didnt believe him for a 16 year old car to have only 80k and be a scrapper is a little hard to believe, especially when theres no proof ie no interior etc. mabe it's just me
if he'd had said it's got 150K i'd have been more interested

brake calipers sell for good money on ebay, and if its got a slipper they are the same as the rs500 so get good money

ye calipers and diff off and it's still towable i removed calipers diff loads of bits from mine still towed ok for 10 miles then nearly sheared wheels off(wrong wheels)

1st question.

Where is the fuse box

thats good, nice easy loom, take loom out the same as i described earlier in this thread, one thing we are trying these days is to use the map sensor, i believe this is mounted somewhere near the abs plugs at the start of the engine loom, round the drivers side brake servo type area if that makes sense, have been told that using the map sensor helps with fuel econemy, and it just plugs in to loom and needs a vacum feed.

the only diiference with this loom is its a lot easier on the inside of the car, you want the ecu and trace the wires to a red relay, the rest should become clear as you take the loom out once you have found the red relay.

thats why its easier, it hasn't got the 2nd big fuse box by the battery, just the red relay as described in above post

no, no plug, its sort of a seperate loom but it is attached to other things, any light brown wires bolted to body are earths, either cut or unbolt them, abs wires can be cut, it will become clearer as you take loom out, its difficult to describe the loom removal, as i said, start round by the peddle box in the engine bay, cut abs wires but try and keep the map sensor ( about size of box of matches with wires pluged (1 plug ) to it an a vacum (black))

don't worry about the loom till the engine is out, and don't forget to take the oil filter remote off. i always take engine and box in 1, if you take 3 bolts out the rubber doughnut on the prop you can leave the bung in the back of the box so you don't get oil everywhere
