Just phoned tfl to enquire about photo of v5c i uploaded to show my weight, lady said it has been escalated for them to look at, and will get back to me. But she said it will be because of the age ie. 51 plate, that i am now subject to lez. She said if i dont get it overturned, they will ask for other proof of euro rating, like from manufacturers. My v5c , under the vehicle details, where it says euro status, it is blank, and under exhaust emissions, it is also blank. So i reckon their gonna ask for other proof!
What i dont get is, before lez was tightened on march 1st, they must have accepted me as euro 3 compliant, because thats what u had to be, to drive in lez. Had no warnings or pcns, in the 2 years i,ve owned the van, so i must have been accepted as euro 3 compliant then! Its red tape gone mad! Why cant the decision maker use some sense, and say , well he was compliant to euro3 standard, before we tightened lez in march, so he must still be euro 3 compliant now. Thats too essy for them. If you speak to them again, ask about the early adopters list they published...

Ford confirmed to them in 2012 that every transit registered after 01/07/2000 was Euro 3 compliant. This was also in the "early adopters" document published by them... There is absolutely no reason why your mk6 should be subject to the LEZ

I've been told in a web chat...

"All vehicles registered after March 2021 are now subject to Lez and customers need to re register."

I can't open this (because Im at work and there are super strict firewalls) but I think this may be the full TFL document. Open at your own risk, with a virus scanner etc...
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... V5R8T3bVY3

But I believe this is the full early adopters doc which you can send back to TFL with your V5C and a covering letter and they should get it corrected?

Maybe Something along the Lines of

Dear Sirs,

I have noticed that my Ford Transit (REG No) has recently moved from a "compliant" to "non compliant" status with regards to the Low Emission Zone. I am aware that the emissions standards for vehicles over 3500kg have become more stringent - however mine falls in to the 3500kg or less category - so needs to comply with Euro 3 particulate standards to be compliant. I suspect my compliance status was incorrectly removed when the stricter standards for vehicles over 3500kg was introduced in March.

I attach a document which TFL issued on XX/YY/ZZ entitled "Larger vans, minibuses & specialist diesel vehicles - early adopters" which confirms that all Ford Transits registered after 01/07/2000 are Euro 3 compliant.

Please could you correct the status of my vehicle on the database? I enclose a copy of the V5C for you to confirm gross vehicle mass and registration date.

Yours Faithfully

After a few of those they may get the idea and implement the corrections like they did originally??

Thanks for all the info on challenging TFL re LEZ.
I've sent an e mail to TFL on the lines you suggest together with a copy of my VC5 & the early adopter list.
Will wait to see how I get on

Is that what you get if you’re brave enough to do the dodgy download?

Just a thought re mk 6 and lez. Wonder how anyone would get on, if they just carried on driving, ....got a pcn... and then tried to fight it...and your defence was, that you should not be subject to lez , because you have a euro 3 engine, and could show some proof, ie a copy of early adopters list, or....the fact that you was recognised for the last few years as being compliant, which shows that they did once recognise you as being euro 3.
