2.5 DI MPG - What does yours do?

It's allways sensable to keep a track on your MPG - a mate of mine had a pajero and reckoned it was doing less to the gallon so he measured it but had no idea what it did when he first got it, so didnt know if he had a problem
i always do an mpg when i get a vehicle and every so oftern just to check its still doing the same - its easy to loose track with the ever rising cost of fuel

poxy goverment ,round here its 99.9 and nobody cares they still pay it! why oh why did blair get back in! even down to the classic car tax conserves were going to put it back to 25yrs but people just didnt want to give the conservs a go! what harm could it of done look at the mess we are in now!

96.9 down here for derv still way too expensive i remeber just a few yrs ago 75ish p per litre if only we could go back to those days

30p a gallon sounds better to me .......with a drop of acetone

All my vehicles have got fuel cards..And the deal I have, my fuel is the same per litre each month,this month (june) it is 91.4p a litre for july per litre is 92.3p..and thats where ever i fill up.I just get charged for how many litre's i use per month..which can be as much as 1500 litre sometimes more..

1995 smiley 2.5d swb low roof, semi loaded... did a 240mile (mainly m-way 70mph ish) run last weekend and used 37litres = 29.5mpg.

Am doing a 500 odd mile run this weekend, towing caravan, so will check what it does with that lot

EGR locked open, fuel turned up one turn.

last fill up was 65 litres, this fill up 67 litres.........god im pushin my luck . I seem to be getting more daring with how far can i go, bit of an experiment really, trying to see highest MPG i can get couple of rules to experiment with are, dont rev over 3000rpm when on a cruise and if poss to try and keep it at 2500rpm with gentle gear changing. No point rushing about in this heat

i reckon you would squeeze 450 out at a push ye your right 2500rpm cruising is ace on fuel problem is forme its only 60ish mph so unless its early or late it can be a pain
