there was one in worthing a few weeks back 2 plods on call to town centre they were going down into the town when they come to a slight bend they took the bend at around 30mph (which is possible in my van) (and there in a focus) instead of going round the bend they went straight on into a tree

Having said that, I do see more instances of appalingly driven Transits than appalingly driven Police Vehicles..........

Agree with you there..Was going along nicely on my way to the office one day then came across one of these drivers..Who'd go 30 then slow right down..We eventually got to a bend(only a little one mind you) and back down to 20..then all of a sudden the car stop in the middle of the road,this woman got out..It was only an unmarked cop car She said what was my game driving so close,before i said anything this other copper got out and just stood there as if to say yeah im big and tuff sort of thing I just said well if you drove at the same speed instead of slowing down every 2 minutes we wouldnt be holding all the traffic up behind us would we

Now that does annoy me..coppers are the worse offenders sometimes..and if theres any coppers on here..Well sorry but some of you are c**p drivers.. I should know i have family who work in the force

If they were to take thier driving test again, they would fail due to "not making progress"

People asking you to move things (this happens very often) then only giving you a fiver diesel or nothing at all so it ends up costing ME to do the favour for them. The most likely offenders for this is FAMILY!!!! oh yeah and thoughtful partner 'volunteering' my van and me for favoutrs too.

Being small and weedy, paralel parking with no power steering!

Tesco having nice big van width spaces but asda spaces being responsible for many dings in van by bad trolley drivers as you cant get down the side of it as spaces too narrow. This also means I have big trouble parking forwards in one swoop in asda too...... Oh yeah and little girlys in micras etc being impatient as I try to do tight maneuvers in van with no power steering(YOU COME AND DRIVE IT YOU IMPATIENT LITTLE BITCH!! OH YEAH YOU CANT DRIVE IT CAN YOU!!!)


But finally the big upside.... If mine gets scratched I wont cry so let me in or i'm gonna push you out of the way! (you know in a traffic scenario where it seems the un written rule is that everyone lets one car in each but some tosser in a new merc wont play, so you spy him in your blind spot mirror and get really close!)

None of ours have power steering, even the big un of 22ft. At Asda I usually park in the outer reaches of the car park, to get two spaces in line! As far as letting people out goes, I love to see the 'girlies in Micras' faces when they start fluttering thier eyelashes then realise I am not gonna let em out on the strength of them smiling nicely at me.....

Ive been driving a transit for twelve years now and when i had my first one i would notice that people would get out of my way and not argue for a piece of the road. Not any more! they cut you up pull out in front and just about anything else! Perhaps its because we are all in such a rush these days and perhaps that there are so many 4x4's and vans on the road that people have got used to the large size of our vans.

mate 4x4's are the funniest when you hit one especially a jap one everything literally falls off i nudged into the back of a focus connect a yr back (on purpose) and the bloody rear bumper fell off didnt even crack the plate on the tranny

Know what you mean i was hit up the back end by one of those Mariva or something like that brand new..it bent the back doors and crushed it slightly into the spare wheel..I got out looked at his and thought f**k me ...his was written off good stlye he couldnt even move it the front was smashed in so badly

I wouldnt mind though as we were sat at a red light 15yards earlier..So it shows how much stick the transit can take

Saturday I was on a dual carriage way doing 70 (yes spot on) and in the outside lane, a Citroen Picasso decide to move straight across...what ever happened to mirror, signal, manover (sp?) I locked it up stopping from hitting her (*)by about a foot (*it was a woman so nothing to do with my previous posts in this thread) and had to move over nearly on the verge and that is very close to the armco on this road...if I had touched the grass I was done for...the guy behind me had a close call too as he was far enough back to react in time but any closer and he would have hit me.
The look of terror and remorse on the womans face after she had pulled back in was a picture..had the road been a little clearer I would have stopped her and ranted at her but I was still shaking from the near miss, so perhaps for all concerned it was good I didn't do that. Had I hit her it would have been deemed to be MY fault since I would have hit the rear of her vehicle even though she was at fault...with hindsight due to person behind me I might well have had a positive witness for me but overall I am glad it didn't come to that but people really need to look especially on higher speed roads. Incidently I was approx 3-6 feet behind her when she moved into my lane so there is no way she used her mirrrors. Plus I had been in the outside lane for nearly the entire length of this road (a 4 mile bypass road) due to inside lane traffic going very slow..approx 40-55mph.

Reversing has never been an issue as its so damn easy with the mirrors but if you reverse in at asda you cant get your shopping in the back! Girlies looking nicely at me stopped working when the majority look at me like i'm some sorta pikey cos I drive a transit!!
