I managed on the governor in top on the way to Folembray in my old Mk4 with 4.1 diff, Lucas CAV pump let it rev to 4500. No idea how fast as had my eyes shut, it was quite a bit faster than my mates short geared Clio Junior Cup car :lol:

Mk5 TD conversion, 85 on the governor with very little effort.

mk6 tipper did 0 to 115 in under 6 sec"s that was on me drive with the rear prop removed, i guess that not count

My 85 was sitting happily at 90ish going one way over the mountain road on TT course. The lad in the 182 clio wasn't really pulling away from me anyway and if I had more on the straight, the corsa VXR probably wouldn't have got past :lol:
