What's the worst thing about driving a van...

Reversing has never been an issue as its so damn easy with the mirrors but if you reverse in at asda you cant get your shopping in the back! Girlies looking nicely at me stopped working when the majority look at me like i'm some sorta pikey cos I drive a transit!!

You should worry, we just bought a tipper truck, how much more pickey can you get? Acsessorised with a Lurcher, of course.....

i love driving trannys but what gets me
1.wee fannys moving my mirrors at night
2.when overtaking and just about getting by safley and they speed up
3.parking in a carpark (in a space) and returning back to van and finding new dents
4.the pearson in the jaguar phoning the police saying i was racing him at 90mph(van was goverened to 70mph)
5.other van drivers eg sprinters,vitos,movanos.kangoos sitting that close to the rear bumper that if you put the van in nutral you would still keep the same speed due to air pressure lol
6. and what is it about people hitting the drivers side rear pannels of the vans all accedents have i have had werent my fault (had 2) but it has been the same side and panels needing replaced
6. people hitting my mirrors destroying the covers and mounts then driving off thinking nothing of it

Me too, agree with all of those, but watch out for no 1 (do you mean fairies/gnomes?) This is usually a sign that thieves are trying to get a better view of what's in the cab by moving the mirror out of the way. Worse still moving the mirror to chuck something at the window to break it.

its the kids round my way that move the mirrors its fun for them but takes me ages to get them back to where i like them and there not electric so its out the van round to mirror and back in ect. ect..

my road runs parralel with the main road so people use it as a walk through, (you know typical ex council estates where you can walk through all of them linked)
and at weekend I have stopped parking in my usual end space next to the footpath (the easy space) and taken to parralel parking next to a grass verge as it seems that anyone walking home pissed either falls into the van or fights up against it! Sussed this when I heard a bang one night and you know exactly how your van sounds when people hit it.

yeh i get that quite a bit cos im a young lad driving a 98 landcruiser,hopefully this will stop when i get my 99 transit because no self respecting knacker would be seen driving an oul transit!its big flashy d-maxes and new transits for them now!
