Unfortunately A plan were significantly more expensive for one of my vans than the competition this time around... I will be ringing them up soon to ask about the other

I've recommended 2 people to A-Plan and A-Plan couldn't be bothered to ring back to discuss their needs!!!!

Also cost me £1000 on a claim through incompetence...

I would NEVER bother wasting my time again.

oh Nearly forgot I had to ask 3 times for my £20 commission on recommending a friend.

Really surprised at the above comments as we are really busy at the moment and very competitive.

Captain hook, are insured with us ( The Thatcham schemes office )?.

If so can you PM me your name and contact number and I will look into this for you.

I have not had any requests recently to call people back on transits.

A-Plan have over 60 branches and as we sponsor the forum then please call us on 01635-879905.

All the best

Heres a question Dan...

I'm on a couple of groups/forums who all have a "discount" with different branches of A plan insurance. What are the chances that they will have different levels of discount?

Sadly Matt it seems although Dan appears to be 'helpful'
the truth of the matter ia A-Plan don't!

I'm sure that they give you the minimum discount to 'reel you in'....

Well @dan_cameron sadly A Plan are massively uncompetitive on this years renewal on my OHs vehicle so it looks like we will both be going elsewhere, mines due in a couple of weeks too :(

My A plan cover was also cheaper this year too and have been with them a few years now. So not sure where this "reeling in" tactic is coming from.

Hello,

Seems we have some very mixed reviews at the moment.

A-Plan schemes Thatcham are the sponsors for the Ford Transit forum and to get the best deal and service you need to call me directly on 01635-879905.

If I am out of the office or on the phone, then feel free to ask for my colleague Paul Aslett who also looks after club members.

We always do our best to get you guys competitive quotes and assist with renewals, but we are not always going to the cheapest as insurance is a very big and busy market.

We are getting some great feedback from other clubs at the moment for modified vans and this is something we are really good at.

This year we have paid up as authorised traders for 8 shows and understand the modified van scene really well. We try and go the extra mile and learn about the different style of modifications so we can make sure everything is covered correctly.

I am always happy to chat to you guys and will offer the best quote I can and fingers crossed restore the Ford Transit forums faith in us.

Keep the calls coming and I will do my best to help.

All the very best

Dan

Can you PM me your details, i.e name and postcode.

I want to look into your claim and see why you are out of pocket.

I might be able to help.

Hi Dan,
Well the wifes renewal was £170 more than equivalent cover elsewhere :( but fortunately my van seems reasonable again :D , but I have a question for you; are you able to offer an agreed value and retaining of salvage on a business use policy? I'm aware I could possibly be shooting myself in the foot by the end of the policy as the (market value) ebay value of Mk2's seems to be constantly on the rise, but it would be nice to know should the worst happen it was covered for that much without having to have a battle and prove a like for like replacement cost.
I can PM my details if it will help.
