transport from germany!

from time to time i get the offer of german twin wheeler that need transporting because there is something wrong with it!
has anybody any idea,s of a firm that would do this at the wright price???????i have tried my local recovery firm but they never replied!

i have been offerd a mk1 that has been standing for 6 yrs in a garrage and the brakes are no good probly wheel cylenders ! but the van is in very good condtion ! it is a great shame as it would be better overhere in england where somebody could love it!

I'm trying to work out the transporting of 1 back as i don't fancy driving it all the way back ( when i find one ), got a friend with a low loader that could fit 3 on but don't think he's keen on going to germany, will talk to him again.

a self tow spectacle lift is what you need

think if i do it i would use my A frame and tow it i have done a lot of miles with it and its a good thing

pete she is in bad kreuznach not too deep in!
its the brakes that are a problem once i can workout if this can be sorted then it will hopefully drive home!

How about joining the ADAC and calling it in as a breakdown?

Well obviously if the van has been stood fro a few years tidy it up a bit. Also taking a set of UK plates with you would be a good idea, if your ADAC is at a UK address that would be natural.

the van looks good so that side of it shouldnt be a problem! you are welcome to pop over if you havent got much work on!

thanks for the offer sc-bk i am trying to work out the best thing to do at the moement ,also i am waiting to find out what the owner says about the brakes
its such a shame it so much hassle to get them over ,

well as i'm the closest ( as far as i know ) to germany i should set my self up to go get them, if i could get my 24v on the road i would have a tow vehicle but i can't seem to get round to it. 20 mins and i could be a ramsgate waiting for a ferry.
