jigging a transit.

anyone on here know anyone who can jig a transit and pull the chassis forward by about half to an inch on drivers side....also possible rebuild of front end ..'price permitting'..new spring hanggers ,headlamp backing panels..straighten inner wing...asking for a miracle..i dont know ..its either this or scrap my bus at some stage ..which i dont want to as she holds to many good times...any help info..thanks..

hello..im in luton bedfordshire....but most companys aint interested because of the size..its a big dormobile bodied ambulance/bus /camper
with a front fibreglass cowl around the windscreen..I REALLY DONT WANT TO SCRAP IT..i need someone..'not neccesarily now' but in the future someone who is into transits and restoration..i know it aint gonna be cheap ..but i have got nearly all the parts for a re-build wings etc just no cross member,,but anyone with a fabrication workshop could knock one up in an hour.....
anyway any help always appreciated...

p.s..i aint interested in a fancy paint job either..just repair seam seal and primer..the rest i can do..thanks again..

personally id be cutting off the chunks from another vehicle and stitching them back on rather than paying a few hundred notes to have it jogged etc

hi thanks for replying..the problem is the drivers side of the vehicle has gone back about three quater of inch to an inch and inner wing has crumpled as well, like i said..i got most bits , but i think its a full front end re-build really..'well thats what i would like at some stage'....the vehicle still drives ok ..and unless your good with bodywork you wouldn't notice it to much..other problam..wrap around windscreen don tit true any more and is trying to work itself out..again due to the shunt...
still interested in your thoughts / veiws...

is a dozer similar to jigging or am i getting cofused?...i have tried a few bodyshops as said but they are not interested?...i thought money was universal?

yes its a huge puller that clamps to the underside of car, we use ours quite a lot

hi, I only sujest this if you do think you are going to have to scrap it because its to much or whatever, Try tieing a good strong rope around wher you want pulled out, tie the other end to something strong like a lamp post and with weight on the back or in the back should i say reverse back with some one waatching the bit your pulling, if it wont come back to how it should be, give it a bit of a jerk as well, but whatever you do dont just take your foot off the clutch and go full revs as you wont just knacker the van but could even injure your self. mike
