hi all,
got a ´68 ex-fire brigade transit, 2.0 lt engine with twin rear wheels, long base.
the original papers identify him (her ? °grin°) as a "1750"
now the question: the chassis number starts with "BC 05 HG". all i could find out was that according to "HG" the car was manufactured in april 1968. "BC" should stand for .. what ??
german cars chassis numbers start with "G", then either "A" (built in cologne) or "B" (built in gent). obviously my car was not made in germany. but what does "BC" stand for ?
then, the two digit number is supposed to be the code for the specific type (e.g. 73 for the bus). what does "05" stand for ??
anybody got an idea ?
thanks
tiger
