Good, cheap garage

Bought new dics and wheel bearing to fit on my Mk5 190 but as soon as I got underneath to start undoing bolts I was in trouble. The caliper bolts had been rounded by the last person to do the job and I couldn't loosen the hub to disc bolts, maybe I could've but didn't feel confident that they would loosen without rounding off. So i decided to pass the fun on to a garage.

After a few calls the cheapest I could find for just labour was The Transit Center near Dudley. They charged me £75 labour and had van back in 3 hours with no mention of the rounded bolts, just the metal filings I had been using as a wheel bearing

In short, great service from nice guys who know what they are doing and I would recommend them to anyone in the black country who needs a good garage service. They are also dismanlters and have loads of parts for sale

callpier bolts are torx and round off easily

not very clear was I, it was the blots that join the bracket the caliper attaches onto to the hub that were rounded, supposed to be 15mm, tried hammering a 14mm star socket on there but could'nt turn them, thats when I gave up.
