Ive been qouted £250 to have PAS fitted to our 96 SWB non-PAS Tranny, does this sound too cheap as its from a Transit specialist. I beleive the parts are brand new genuine Ford but even if they are re-conditioned, is this still cheap?

I picked a complete kit up for £100 and i reckon 2 hours to fit it

parts wont be new( maybe cleaned :wink:

), i charge £250 for a smilie, s/h parts

Cheers guys. The qoute was for a works van and my gaffer has questioned why its so cheep, he thinks a the steering rack shiuld be about £400.
Should used parts cause any major problems?

he's right - as Geoff says for a secondhand kit fitted that price is about right

Sound, appreciate that guys.

The only problem is, being the oldest van (N reg) in the fleet my gaffer is probly reluctant to spend money on it. He's just bought 3 new Vito's which are replacing the Fiat Scudo's which replaced the Nissan Cargos :oops:

He's also got 2 Peugeot Partners, 1 Hiace, 1 Astra, 1 Ducato, 1 51 plate Tranny, Fiat Doblo's and a P reg Tranny Luton. Those are some sh*t vans.

Now we've done the pump tweak it flys, just the PAS that would make it the dogs.

My gaffers in doubt wether to have it done mainly because of the s/h parts, what can i say to him to sway him? :lol:

From that list, you can see why the transit is the oldest :lol:
