Speed limiters

Looking for information.
Recently the company I work for introduced speed limiters to our transit vans to 68mph, just wondering if we are now banned from using the fast lane on the motorway? Or are we allowed because it's self installed

70 is the maximum on the motorway, not the minimum

Don't forget though, 60 max on dual carriageways for vans.... more folks getting caught rather innocently!

it will be unlikely you can remove these also it these are messed with it a instant sack

Or you may end up with someone at your doorstep asking difficult questions if there's an accident or even just a speeding ticket and an investigation shows its been removed. I wouldn't rely on someone else not telling who removed it.

I've No problem removing limiters on private motors but wouldn't touch a company vehicle.

Surely the bollocking would fall on the employee, not the poor innocent IDS owner who took it off for them.
There's nothing illegal about removing a speed limiter - the only illegal thing would be taking advantage of the fact it has been removed, surely?

Would you think a company would accept a total loss at there cost if there insurance fails to pay out due to the fact that a limiters been removed?

Probably not, but that would fall back on the employee who requested the removal of said limiter.
This is all blowing out of proportion now - my original statement was very much tongue in cheek, hence the winking smiley...
