Simple really fella :D . I used a company called VINTAGS UK tel: 01302 843175 . They supplied my new Vin plate ,about £50. Giving them a call will help. You will need V5c log book , copy of driving licence and your new van weights .( I copied my mates plate weights which were 3000)
3500 )
1600 )
1760 )

When I received my new sticker I filled in the changes on my V5 and along with this, a copy of my new vin and a short note explaining that my van is unlikely to be used as a 330 and would like it to be down plated, Send to DVLA, 4 weeks later received my new V5 showing 300 and no longer 330.
Job done :D . No mods where required other than getting a sticker and sticking over original :D

Sorry mate you misunderstood a bit . you only need to change the weights on your vin plate sticker located inside door the vin number stays the same as this is your van ID :D

Hi. Did you have to send proof that it had been down weighted with a picture of the weight certificate and a picture of the back of the van and the reg. I was told that on the phone to DVSA. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered phoning them to ask. Also did you just put 3000 in the new revenue weight bit in the changes. Thanks

Brilliant job Mate :!: Is that just polishing :?:

Mine wants a few dents filling and I was going to get it sprayed, but if you did that with polish I might have a go. :)

Had mine about 3 years but only just found this thread

Martyn did my bcm stuff, and I got my diff done by the Halifax guys, but it's been wining so I swapped the whole axle out last month. I have fitted side windows and got a rear door with a window and wiper (have to visit Martyn to get that operational), plus I've fitted second row of seats out of a Tourneo.

It's still a work in progress after all this time

I got the boys in Halifax to swap the diff first Mate, but after three years it was getting noisy again :( so I got a newer secondhand one and swapped the lot

Swapping the whole thing cost me a little bit less when you factor in the oil seals and bits plus tools against the trip up to Halifax :?

Yes I swapped my wheels too, but I stuck with 16s as I couldn't get the load rated tyres for 18s. Martyn down rated his so he gets over it that way, but I wanted to keep the capacity for the extra load and towing :)
