wronghole wrote:Sorry mate you misunderstood a bit . you only need to change the weights on your vin plate sticker located inside door the vin number stays the same as this is your van ID
wronghole wrote:Simple really fella . I used a company called VINTAGS UK tel: 01302 843175 . They supplied my new Vin plate ,about £50. Giving them a call will help. You will need V5c log book , copy of driving licence and your new van weights .( I copied my mates plate weights which were 3000)
3500 )
1600 )
1760 )
When I received my new sticker I filled in the changes on my V5 and along with this, a copy of my new vin and a short note explaining that my van is unlikely to be used as a 330 and would like it to be down plated, Send to DVLA, 4 weeks later received my new V5 showing 300 and no longer 330.
Job done . No mods where required other than getting a sticker and sticking over original
wronghole wrote:As previously posted mated .Just get your new weight sticker ,send a copy along with your amended log book and a letter explaining that your van is unlikely to be used as a 330. Job done
