I use a toothbrush on mine dipped into the cleaning solution, then wiped out with believe it or not baby wipes, if any bits do go into the combustion chamber surely they would get burnt off, my theory is that sh*t is going into the air flow anyway so some must make it past the valves.

If your going to do it buy some new gaskets.
