Mk6 Jumbo prices

Postby MONSTER 0NE » Tue Sep 05, 2017 11:32 pm

Hi guys, what's the usual going rate for a mk6 Jumbo on a 55reg with 12 months MOT? I may be able to pick up a I think a pepper red one with sub 100k miles on it.
Cheers

Jumbo's don't seem to hold their prices as well as a 'normal' LWB........probably because most of them have been worked to death and also the extra couple of feet makes it a bit more awkward when it comes to parking (wouldn't fit in my parking space at home....or work)

Yes but the good thing about jumbos is that they don't rust as bad

mine has 230+k on it and only just been welded (minor), the seem to go for good money if they are low mileage

I've been looking at mk6 jumbos lately and some are ridiculously highly priced for their age and mileage.

What do you all think of this ad of one I'm selling? I had it for 2,450 but no bites. It's at the mechanic now so I need to make a decision, fix it and maybe keep it for a while longer, or sell it as is, or fix it and sell it, which I don't think will make sense.

Bear in mind that this is Ireland and there aren't as many on the roads. It was imported from the UK and had some chassis work done on rust which hasn't come back since (a few years now).

Looks in pretty good condition for its age and mileage, for me it all depends on how solid the chassis is, panels and trim can be repaired or replaced. If I was going to look at that I'd want to look under the ply and see what the floor's like, check EVERYWHERE.

Thanks, that's actually one I'm selling, not going to buy :) I posted it up for €2,450 but got no interest so it's now listed at €1,490 ;( Got 2 calls this morning showing interest, let's see.

Oh right, you should find a buyer for that, it looks a good van mate.
