Got ripped off by a Gypsy type near Nuneaton

Saw a ad on gumtree for a transit 120 chassis cab in very good condition but was an ex motorhome so no bulkhead and cab roof had a piece cut out..he had it up for £750 so went to view it and he seemed desperate to sell it so he said i could have it for £500 so i shook hands and gave him £80 deposit...he handed over the registration document little slip with his address and name on and we arranged that he dropped it off in a week or two...never did so i visited him again and told me he had sold it to another guy in Melton..i asked for my deposit back but he said he had no cash on him but would send me a cheque..i said no i will come again for the cash...however the locals said you are wasting your time,youve been done so just forget it.

i dont think its worth the agro..besides he took a liking to my maestro and a few years back i got offered £500 quid for it by some dodgy geezers in a transit van,said i wasnt interested in selling it so they followed me for about a hour and ended up trying to run me off the road...i know there are decent gypsies out there but there are a few who give the rest a bad name
