Wind/rain

Postby loot » Sun Jul 29, 2018 8:39 pm

Driving in the rain today and the rain hitting the drivers quarter glass was so much that I couldn't see any traffic in the mirror which I thought was a bit sh*t, then I thought of wind deflectors but then they only cover the side class don't they :?

Does anyone do a full deflector for the quarter area?
Any thoughts on this chaps?
Specsavers?

Ah you see you need some kind of heating and or wiping device on the 1/4 windows  little wipers like you used to get on headlights would work.

Or better still a small camera in each mirror with a screen inside now that would be funky wouldn't it. N

A dwarf installed in the mirror could just stick it's arm out and wipe it

That reminds me a number of years ago I was driving a 7.5T lorry with no heated mirrors and at about 5 or6 am in the winter (frozen mirrors) I came up behind another lorry on the motorway but I couldn’t see if anything was passing me :x I was tempted to just pull out and the odds are you would be ok that time of the morning not many on n Ireland’s roads
Lucky I didn’t because a bloody big jaguar I think it was went past me at about 100+ mph and if I had of pulled out he would of being killed no doubt about it and yours truly would of being 100% to blame

Can't risk it :-( I've literal just got back from a minor bump, I got boxed in ff so only thing I could do was go side on but I didn't see the woman in the mk7 right up my ass and I nudged her :? Ppl don't give you enough room to make mistakes do they.

Probably get a Simmons to court now for the 15 passengers with whiplash and her psychological treatments in the swiss Alps :|
