London to Beijing

Accidentally stumbled across this the other day, well worth a watch if you have Amazon Prime.

An impressive highlight, despite the main attention of the series being on the bikes and their mishaps, was that they were followed the entire way from London all the way to Beijing by a pretty standard looking Transit acting as a support vehicle.

Could that be the furthest east a UK registered Transit has gone overland?

What was the point of taking the bikes?

London to Beijing in a Transit sounds much more fun.

My thoughts exactly! They said in one of the episodes, 'wherever the bikes go, the van goes too'. Would have been good to see more from the perspective of the van. But I guess there'd be a very limited audience if they did...

Still, goes to show you don't need a BMW GS or a tricked up Defender to go overlanding!
