Insurance problem

Postby edd_wood » Sun Dec 23, 2018 12:09 pm

I have an issue with insuring my Transit, I'm hoping somebody here has encountered it before.
I tried to swap my insurance from ny old Toyota Hiace to the Transit but my insurance company insists that my registration number is for a 100 LWB when in fact the van is a 115 T350L RWD. I have tried other insurance companies and they insist that the registration is for either a 350 HD or a 350 crew cab. The V5, HPi, the AA etc. says 115 T350L RWD. Does the rear wheel drive mean it's the HD model? If I use an insurance company online quote with a drop down list with all the Transit models listed then there is no option for 115 T350L RWD. There are other options such as 115 350 LWB EL 2402cc which seems about right but I don't want to insure the wrong model and have the insurance company refuse to cover me in the event of an incident. The reg number is HY61YRF.
Any ideas please?
