just don't tell the RAC you have a big van, if you need to call them pretend you don't know and say nothing, they are not supposes to recover anything over 18ft but we have had the big un recovered before!

the AA used to have a seperate policy for vans, they are now covered my normal membership.


a couple of quid mean feck all when you`re stuck on the motorway 1.00am in the morning, pissing it down.

the AA also have limits on height and length. thought they picked up my jumbo no q`s asked.

also, the RAC has a supplement for vans, yet say you are covered in any vehicle. So what part of any vehicle excludes vans?

our aa renewal just arrived 147 for joint membership so i looked at rac and they do the same deal for 96 quid last night the aa called to see if we were renewing and i said no as rac can do it for less,and his reply was if you do it now on the phone i can give you 51 quid discount so were back at 96 quid,and i did nt tell him the rac quote what a racket

my RAC cover is £81 per yr which covers the car & the van

(51/350lwb/mr/90ps thats roadside & recovery ) inc the ncd

mind you i was'nt aware that they won't recover over 18ft which was useful to know for the future in case i have a trailer
