Minibus & over 3500kg Tyres - New Age Limit

Postby MinorMatt » Tue Dec 15, 2020 3:16 pm

FYI guys

It appears that the government have introduced an age limit of 10 years on the tyres on minibuses (9 or more passenger seats) and anything with a gross weight over 3500kg.

If you have a twin wheel rear axle it only affects the front axle, if you have a single wheel axle all tyres must be less than 10 years old.

So - might be a good idea to learn how to read tyre date codes and work out how old your tyres are!
