Whats the button that lights up? looks like to do with Anti skid , summit or other? it doesnt seem to work,

It’s a very basic traction control system, the button is to temporarily turn it off, it’ll turn on again at 30mph (ish). The idea is that it helps you get moving in the snow, but unless you have winter/M&S tyres a Transit ain’t going anywhere in the snow, unless you’re a self proclaimed driving god :lol:

I was amazed how good my Transit was last time we had loads of snow.
I had a Navara before, and was worried I would struggle without FWD and low ratio.
However, the Transit (brand new OEM tyres) pulled up some really steep hills and I drove past loads of stuck RWD cars.
On the steepest section I turn off traction control. Used 2nd gear and lots of welly.

OK, in the Navara I was able to pull Transit vans up hills, but as long as I get home I'm happy.

Recently I put on Michelin Agilis CrossClimate+ All Season tyres. They have the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol.
They are a bit noisier than stock, but look the part.
Unfortunately, we haven't had any snow to try them out!
