I was amazed how good my Transit was last time we had loads of snow.
I had a Navara before, and was worried I would struggle without FWD and low ratio.
However, the Transit (brand new OEM tyres) pulled up some really steep hills and I drove past loads of stuck RWD cars.
On the steepest section I turn off traction control. Used 2nd gear and lots of welly.
OK, in the Navara I was able to pull Transit vans up hills, but as long as I get home I'm happy.
Recently I put on Michelin Agilis CrossClimate+ All Season tyres. They have the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol.
They are a bit noisier than stock, but look the part.
Unfortunately, we haven't had any snow to try them out!
