Recommendations for self build camper insurance sought please, still registered as a van

give adrian flux a ring they are quite good for insurance whilst converting and not registered as motor caravan

But, are they any good if needing to claim ?

All I can say is I’ve found them easy to deal with got 3 vehicles with them and would have had the house with them if I hadn’t already got it but like most insurance companies you only find out how good when you need to clam.The trouble with self built camper vans is that not many want to take them on I was with the co op for 20 years till one year they put up the price to nearly double and when I phone them all I got was we are not doing campers anymore and only quoted me as I had been with them for so long .

I have a very similar story
Co-op gone downhill big time, they seem to have premium contact numbers now too
Used to get full proper, any use, unlimited mileage cover etc as standard, not that long ago
Used to do vans, bikes etc

Yes with comparison sites driving the price down they use any excuse to load your premium.
