2nd leaking EGR Cooler in 2 years!

I bloody hate Egr! One of The worst jobs on a 2.4 140ps mk7 Transit and they keep failing. Who thought connecting a metal pipe to the exhaust manifold and running coolant through it was a good design idea should be made to fix them daily for the rest of their lives. Rant over thanks.

Bypassed the Cooler by connecting a Holden Commodore 3.8 heater pipe (perfect I.D. and length/shape) between the outlet on the thermostat and the heater. Simple job to get me outa the sh*t....

Are you buying cheap coolers or proper Ford ones? I bought a TP#K cooler once after mine failed, it lasted 50 miles. The body was made of steel so thin that the water pressure burst it. Replaced that with a secondhand genuine Ford item, no problem many thousands of miles later.
