Motorhome insurance under 25

Postby S_doc » Thu Jun 03, 2021 12:48 am

Hello everyone I'm 23 and I recently purchased a 1988 transit camper , looking to get insured on her but to no surprise its proving difficult. Just wondering is their anyone on here that maybe can come up with a solution.

Speak to a broker face to face, use their expertise.

The last time I used a broker in town Mike was 32 years ago to insure a van 3 weeks later I get a letter from them telling my that the company Hibernian insurance doesn’t do vans and was going to charge me a 1/4 of my premium to cancel in the end I had to go to Hibernian in Lincoln to sort it out myself in the end they charge me for only the days it was on cover saying that they’re not impressed with the broker and that the broker was changing me to change and should have only charged the same as they did so I have never used a independent again .

And about the same time another independent was doing cheap insurance for young drivers all they got was a cover note and he didn’t set up the policy and kept the fee it was only when a lad had to make a claim that it came to light .

There are things that have been put in place in the last 32 years that reduce the chances of that happening. There are poor companies in all trades, they’re easy to find if you want the cheapest
