WHAT TO DO

Postby tricksum » Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:37 pm

WHAT TO DO.
I have had two mk6 2lt SWB panel vans spanning 14 years.
They have been absolutely amazing in every way.
The second and current mk6 drives superbly having covered 140k.
Pulls like it was brand new.
It has never yet received a advisory at MOT time.
I would not be interested in any other model when the time comes.

I have been offered a great 2004 mk6 van with 48K on the clock and one owner.Very well cared for.
I’m thinking of buying it and mothballing it until I may need it.
If at sometime I need a mk6 in a hurry I know there won’t be one like the one on offer available.
The thought of buying a Transit custom or similar gives me nightmares.
Shall I shan’t I.

Do it.... but don't mothball it.

Vehicles don't like standing for extended periods. You only need to use it a few times a year for it to stay in good order!
