What wet belt engine is the least terrible?

Are any of the wet belt engines more reliable that any other? I was thinking about buying one but I've heard too many problems, if one is better than the other what year or model are they on? How often does the oil and wet belt need to be changed?

They are mostly the same just change the belt and keep the oil clean
