Highlands of Scotland meet

Postby Smooth Hound » Thu Jan 03, 2008 5:24 pm

I am concidering a meet for the north of scotland, as i would like to go to a meet and have tried to arrange going, but its 200 miles to the places that the meets have been for me and just too far really, So if anyone is interested in a meet in the spring say then could they add there name to this list with a place to put a pin, I am not trying to compete and hope to go to one of the southern scottish meets in the future and hopefully some members could come up to ours, but it has to be appreciated that scotland is over 350 miles from the top to the bottom. going to a meet in s scotland from me is like someone from newcastle going to cambridge for a meet , just to put it in perspective.

I'll be there

From talking to the southerners it sounds like if we could organise a weekend meet staying at a nice/cheap campsite or field, a few of them might make the trip up

More of a thing for the long warm summer nights, but then we'll need somewhere midge free aswell!

Umm

I would like to get up to sky, as we have friends up there, but cant justify it at the moment..

However I will try and include in here, if we have plans to travel sorted at all, then we will venture up and try and meet up!

We are spending most of the summer here this year, as we have a lot to sort out on the house, but well, one never knows!

Up for it! No midgies if going in Spring! Great area's up in West side, from Fort William up, plenty of great locations.

Put a pin in for me!

No midgies till end of may. And this winter looks like a midgie killer!!! Bonus.

How far north?

Lets climb the Belach na bas near Applecross for a challenge!! (Mark ones might need a tow!!!) But if this bunch can do it....

2 minutes in.
