Brain storming mtdi ideas for the 3.2L

Hay guys..

I’m wanting to do the manual pump swap on my 90 mk6 tddi.. then I got thinking of the similarities between the tddi and tdci engines.. so from what i can see the basic head and block looks the same between the 2.4 engines, have heard that pistons or the cr is different.?? But no idea for sure. Then the hamster wheel inside my head went into overdrive..

With the 3.2 being just a 2.4 with one added cylinder and the blocks being mostly the same.
Is it then possible to make a 3.2 mtdi using the tddi injectors and a mechanical injector pump from say an older vw or merc

It it even remotely possible ?? Could it be done ?

TDDi and TDCi injectors are different shapes.

It may be possible to find some TDDi injectors from something else that will fit in the hole - but I don't think anyone has found any?
