:) ... sideloading door and brand new replacement posts arrived

both as described.....

Door good condition all around, structually solid, with only 2 dents, 1 inside where something hit it from the inside (not visible from outside, and one around the rubber bumpstop/catch ... they always bent here anyway, and i will be taking it off and finding another method of restraining it anyway

Replacement door posts both genuine ford, fair amount of surface rust over all of them, so i will have to look at the seams carefully and maybe add a couple of extra welds as they look like they are trying to seperate a little which is a good sign there is a little rust in between the joints .... but should be ok

Delivery was slow i have to admit, especially as it was courier type parcel delivery although £18 was not so bad. I think he held it for a little while waiting so they could collect more stuff from him at the same time and thus make it cheaper for him.

Packaging was pretty crap but the items arrived with no transit damage

now all i need is some hinges (he didnt have any at the time) and a striker plate ..... anyone know if the front N/S one will fit ?

Guess its time to take the plunge and cut a BIG hole in the side of my van :P

oh .... and for reference the LDV 400 smaller side window (from minibus) will fit nicely and seems to have the correct curve too, just need to remove the strengthening rib from across the door and relocate it

on the inside of the door in the top half, you can see the inner skin has a pattern in it that looks like it might have something to do with a window fitting ... the hole is about the right size and curved corners, and right across the middle (left to right) is a strengthening rig that bends into the void from the inner skin and touches the outer skin to supprt it
