Mechanic wanted! : Derby

Postby mad_dj » Fri May 02, 2008 2:53 am

Hi, i'm after someone i can call upon to help with all my transit-related technical stuff.
Got a big briefcase full of cash, just like on wheel of fortune and just want the engine given a top-to-toe so i can have the confidence in it to be reliable for me every time :)

It's a 1989 Transit Mountain Ambulance running a 3.0l V6 single choke carb.
As i'm not mechanically minded (although i've a degree in computer engineering!), i could do with having someone nearby to help and perhaps educate me at the same time!

One of my reocurring problems is the alt+ps belts keep snapping. I've been informed it's probably wheel alignment but i've re-adjusted it once and tried different size belts at different alt positions to no avail. Would really like a professional opinion!

If anyone could help, i'd be eternally greatful & will pay you for the work you do.

PM if you're near! cheers

Nik
