At which point he said:
"Oh, you're unemployed? I'm sorry, but we can't insure unemployed people"
I replied with "Why not?"
He says "the company who we get our quotes from don't insure unemployed people for social, domestic and pleasure purposes".
That didn't really answer my question, and I think he knew that and was just trying to weasel his way out of answering, so I politely thanked him and hung up.
So why the hell can't this company insure me just because I'm unemployed?
Do they think that because I don't have a job, it mean I'll be driving my car more and so I have a greater chance of crashing?
Surely if I pay in full, in one lump sum, there's no problem.
Can someone explain this for me please, I'm confused as to this as well as rather annoyed.
Thanks in advance.
