But you need to go and see it before you think about buying it

At 14' long the bed will effectively give you about 13' when you take the winch into consideration, which isn't a lot to play with, also the bed looks like its all steel chequerplate which depending on what gauge was used could make it very heavy, remember the 3500kg weight limit includes the driver.

The ramps also look like their steel chequerplate, again heavy to be lugging about, and theres nowhere to stow them off the bed by the looks of it, which will be a right pain when loaded, also I cant see any lashing points in the photos, you really need bed mounted lashing rings to strap to, their a lot easier to work with than claws fitted under the bed sides.

You would also need a locker to store straps and othe crap in, which would add to the weight and the cost, and if that were my truck I would lose the headboard and put a proper flyer up front with something decent in it to stop a car coming through the back of the cab if the worst happened.

That said you would have to go and have a look at it to see if its any good, give it a proper look over and check the chassis out, theres a lot of tired rubbish about...

wardy why not get a spec lift instead of buying a flat bed

All good points above, remember the road tax is going up for post 2000 vans/trucks so don't go there! Also, bear in mind if you get a truck of that age don't come within the M25 in a couple of years! I know it's quite a way from you, but you never know what you might get asked to do.

Cheers for your comments people I think I will give this one a miss. Before I buy any truck off I be going to have a look at it.

This was not the bloke who had the Mk 2, this bloke is just local to me and I often see him about in this truck.

I want a flatbed so I can put some sides on and collect scrap when im not collecting cars.
